I am not an artist of images
but maybe of words
and most days of thoughts
an artist of thoughts
I am sometimes an artist of movement
an artist of walking across a room
and then I am an artist of being there
an artist of stillness
Most days, I am an artist of longing
of imagining who might come along to ignite me
those days, I am also a torch bearer
an artist of fire
I am an artist of love and hope
and an artist of giving and occasional greed
but on my best days
on those very rare and very best days
I am an artist of song
